Honestly not a very big fan of this grocery store. It’s not any bigger than Weis or shop rite, I feel as though the prices aren’t as good and I really wish there was a better fresh hot food section that I could frequent to get a salad or soup for work. Plus it is always PACKED with people from out of state. Really the only good thing about this store is the proximity and that it is open 24/7.
Some idiot employee made numerous messages over the load speaker about another employees onion rings getting cold. Funny once, annoying when it's done five times in half an hour.
I used to travel to Matamoras Pa. to the Price Chopper there. They had double coupons and a fantastic meal deal. So imagine my happiness when Price Chopper built a store near my house. However, this Price Chopper does not offer double coupons or advertise the meal deal.
Today I made another trip to Price Chopper on the date 8/25/17. This day my shopping experience was much different than my other trips. I make trips weekly, sometimes even daily. I have shopped at this store since the day it was opened. My experience today began with me, today I was at the deli and or cold cut department part of the establishment. I asked for a pound of D/W grilled honey chicken not too thin. The employee, she in specific started to cut the chicken. I specifically asked I wanted a normal sliced chicken, I did not want the last pieces of the chicken. She then ignored my request and proceeded to close the bag and the employee, she threw the bag of meat right onto the counter in front of me. I told her it is not a pound and she refuse to give me a pound of the meat I asked her. She told me that she " Had" to sell this last piece of meat. She turned around to the employee behind her and asked him if he wanted to serve me, as she made it very clear that she did not want to serve me. The other employee then gave me exactly what I asked for. The other employee who refused to serve me the meat I asked her for her name. She proceeded to turn her name tag around so I could not see her name. I went to a manager and was told it would be taken are of. I am a loyal customer who attends this store frequently for my shopping needs. Never have I been so insulted and treated like a not needed customer. As I feel this is a problem as I was not shown any professionalism as that is something I would expect from another adult. I feel as though I was humiliated and disrespected which was entirely uncalled for and not needed for my simple request as I was denied proper and professional service.
I love this store. Always clean and the staff is very friendly. The produce manager even ordered a special broccoli for me! It's big enough to have good variety of products, but small enough to feel comfortable while shopping. For kids.....they have lollipops at the customer service, a cookie from the bakery and a balloon from florist.
Beer prices are decent. Cashier for beer was very pleasant. Cashier for groceries was also nice.
