I spent my birthday here the last two years. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Sites are clean and private. Foxwood is located centrally between many landmarks and attractions of the Delaware Water Gap. A perfect getaway for yourself or the family. I would recommend Foxwood to all of my friends and family!
My family has stayed at numerous campgrounds over the years and I would consider this to be the worst campground we've ever been to and we've stayed at questionable ones. The only reason it gets one star is because the playground had been recently painted and the one staff member we saw all weekend was nice. There are also rundown, downright scary looking trailers littering the campground. Not a campground we really wanted to walk around for the "views".
Watch out for bears :-)!
The bathrooms were absolutely atrocious. It seemed like no one cleaned them the entire Memorial Day weekend and if they did they did it bad. The women's bathroom was littered with feminine products, two stalls were out of order and only one shower would be considered in "workable" condition. TP ran out numerous times. I even got in the habit of bringing it with me.
Nice camp ground and cool staff.
Great campsite. Visited with family and friends and we had such a good time. This was the last week of September and we were hitting 80 deg days for much of the week. Had an awesome pit setup in the area we camped and we were able to do a lot of grillin. Staff was very helpful and courteous. The bathrooms are eh but serve their purpose. General store is located close to the entrance in case you forgot the bread or milk in town. Wal-Mart is about a 15min drive by the way. I would camp here again and recommend it. I know some reviews complain about noise but I do not camp in the height of summer. It was very peaceful at night with just the starry sky and the chorus of the insects.
It seems the positive reviews have come from people staying in RVs, which seemed to be the only nice part of the campground. Not to mention most of these folks don't have to use campground "facilities". If you're looking to actually camp, which means enjoy the outdoors and nature, this is NOT the campground for you. All you hear is partying, screaming, yelling and obnoxious music.
This place doesn't even get one star from me but i had. The actual grounds weren't bad but the cabin/trailer we rented was disgusting. The whole placed smelled like an outhouse. As soon as you opened the door you were slapped in the face with the scent of poop. It's really a shame because there are beautiful views but all i wanted to do was go home. It was awful. I brought air freshener spray and used the whole can and it didn't really help at all. Three trailers behind us were rented out and they blasted music until 3am. Their kids running around our place all night screaming and even came up to our door and banged on it screaming for their mom that obviously wasn't watching their kids. I was so disgusted that the campground didn't put a stop to it and the smell was the worst of all of it. Who wants to vacation with sh**t? So mad that i wasted my money and time off for this dump. DO NOT GO HERE!
If you're looking for a family campground this should not be one of your choices. This place was an obvious spot for people wanting to party. Drugs and alcohol were abundant and the partying went on well after midnight, even till 3 AM one night. For a family with toddlers and young kids, they will NOT be sleeping.
