It got two stars for the shady spots.
Very nice and spacious camp sites. Not too close to neighbors. Very clean. Beautiful and refreshing pool. Upgrading kids play areas. Beautifully wooded. Knowledgeable and very courteous staff members. Thank you for an awesome stay. We will be back.
Definitely not what I was expecting. It's not the best campground I've stayed at, but also not the worst. In general, the bathrooms are pretty clean and well kept, and the staff was wonderful.
The speed limit is five mph, but most people seem to be going 10 or above and several people would burn-out in the middle of the night. The workers drive at a very unsafe speed in their machines.
Love this campground! Always fun, clean and friendly. I am a repeat camper at this one.
The bathrooms aren't nice at all. You have to hold down the faucet handles to get water. The showers had a chain that you had to pull for water. Once you let go of the chain the water stops. That was very unhandy for one woman that was trying to bath her baby. The water temperature is perfect, for about thirty seconds. It starts out cold and within a minute or two the water is too hot for most people, I'd imagine, but certainly for babies.
Another reason for the low rating was the noise. We were there from Sunday to Wednesday, and the noise was horrible. I can't imagine the horror that would be the weekend. Between the RV's AC units, the drunks that are yelling at 1 am, and the PA system somebody had, it was hard to sleep.
I love the shade they have at the campground. It is unfortunate, however, that weeds surrounded the sites, including fun things like poison ivy. That should be taken care of.
I enjoyed my stay, nonetheless, but I will be looking elsewhere the next time I go camping.
There's free wifi and cable hook ups, so as I'm trying to camp, I hear televisions blaring. I'm an old soul and believe camping is a way to escape all of those modern technologies, so that was a big disappointment for me.
The spots are also close together, so you can see and hear your neighbors at the other spots.
Also, there is NO grills at any of the sites. I know and was prepared to cook over an open fire, so it wasn't that bad, but beware of this.
Lots of hills, not much to do inside the camp. I will never forget this place though, beautiful wood carved trees are all over and the lots are nice and flat. Maybe one day we will return.
I recently stayed here as a tent camper. I was looking for a weekend to get away from everything, and thought this would be a great place to relax as it is close to many nice hiking trails.
If you are looking to experience the great outdoors, look elsewhere. Most people used RVs and the place is very loud. There's gravel throughout, so any cars driving made a lot of noise.
Overall: If you are looking for a weekend getaway with the family--this place is pretty great. It has a ton of accommodations (pool, tennis courts, dog park area, lots of games, electrical hook up, etc.) and is close to lots of restaurants in the area. But this is ONLY if you are looking for a weekend getaway with hotel-like accommodations rather than a true outdoor adventure; afterall, it does have wi-fi throughout.
I did not notice that only two people were included in the rate. When I asked about a charge for "6 children" I was met with rudeness, and their tone was condescending.
